Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Minister Greg Combet has announced that Anne Brown and Virginia Malley are the final two members appointed to the Clean Energy Regulator.

What is a clean energy future?Ms Brown and Ms Malley will help to lead decision making in the organisation and support the effective administration of key pieces of climate change law.

The pair bring a high level of financial sector experience to the Regulator.

Ms Brown has substantial knowledge and practical experience of Australian and international exchange-traded financial markets, instruments, risk management, related infrastructure and regulatory environments.

Ms Malley has 25 years’ experience in the investment and banking sectors, including more than 10 years as a company director. Her areas of expertise are regulatory compliance, market risk management, corporate governance and trusteeship.

“The members will set the direction for the Clean Energy Regulator to administer new and existing regulatory schemes, including the carbon pricing mechanism from 1 July,” Mr Combet said.
