Yes, it is expected that in 2012-13 the carbon price will increase the cost of living by 0.7 per cent, which is about 70 cents in every $100 spent. This will mean on average, household costs will rise by $9.90 per week. This includes an average increase of $1.50 per week for gas and $3.30 per week for electricity.
