Mark Dreyfus provides energy efficiency tips
There’s lots of things that every Australian can do to save energy and save money around the home.
Things like;
- using a clothes line instead of a clothes dryer, which can save up to $55 per year;
- washing clothes in cold rather than hot water can save up to $90 per year;
- switching appliances off at the power point can save up to $100 per year; and,
- fitting a low-flow showerhead and taking shorter showers can save households with electric hot-water services up to $550 per year.
